Pastry Chef

  • In charge of baked goods and deserts
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Responsible for preparing pastries and deserts for large functions
  • Replenish the service line when necessary
  • Carving and creating beautiful displays with meats, fruits, and vegetables
  • Prepare proper food quantities based on forecasted occupancy
  • Understand and adhere to company policies, processes, cooking methods, standard portion sizes, kitchen rules, and quality standards
  • Ensure kitchen and equipment is kept clean and sanitized
  • Follow safety and sanitization policies and processes
  • Assist with other kitchen operations as needed or directed
  • Maintain food at appropriate temperatures and standards
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Have a strong passion for excellent service and positive energy

Demi Chef

  • Also known as chef de partie
  • Responsible for keeping line cooks and stations organized and on time
  • Must be able to act as cook himself
  • Trustworthy, experienced and suitable for managing other staff
  • Knowledge and previous experience as a professional chef
  • Organized
  • Able to work in fast-paced, high pressure situations
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must have exceptional knowledge of the kitchen process and roles
  • Ensure each menu item is prepared on time
  • Oversee preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Assist with cooking, preparation, and plating when needed
  • Ensure all health and food safety standards and practices
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Ensure all items are stocked and prepared
  • Ensure all staff are under control and treated fairly
  • Ensure kitchen and equipment is kept clean and sanitized, including shelves, tables, grills fryers, pasta, broilers, cookers, convection oven, sauté burners, refrigeration equipment, and flat top range
  • Report to executive Chef Emmanuel David
  • Must have at least 4 years of practical culinary experience
  • Formal training with certificate of completion in culinary arts is preferred
  • Food and wine knowledge and creativity
  • Strong communication and writing skills in English

Skilled Cook with Experience in East Indian Cuisine

  • Previous professional experience specializing in East Indian Cuisine
  • Encompass strong leadership skills and ability
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Replenish the service line when necessary
  • Carving and creating beautiful displays with meats, fruits, and vegetables
  • Prepare proper food quantities based on forecasted occupancy
  • Understand and adhere to company policies, processes, cooking methods, standard portion sizes, kitchen rules, and quality standards
  • Ensure kitchen and equipment is kept clean and sanitized, including shelves, tables, grills fryers, pasta, broilers, cookers, convection oven, sauté burners, refrigeration equipment, and flat top range
  • Follow safety and sanitization policies and processes
  • Set up and run the breakfast buffet and a la carte options
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of all food served from the buffet
  • Assist with other kitchen operations as needed or directed
  • Maintain food at appropriate temperatures and standards
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Set up, restock, and maintain food preparation areas
  • Prepare foods in accordance with working menus and recipe cards
  • Have a strong passion for excellent service and positive energy
  • Good communication skills in English

Breakfast Cook

  • Previous kitchen experience required
  • Must be available mornings, including weekends
  • Strive in a fast pace environment
  • Able to work weekends
  • Replenish service line when necessary
